49 arrested for drug offences in Singapore

SINGAPORE’S Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) announced today that it arrested 49 men for suspected drug offences at a hotel villa on Sentosa Island during a recent operation, reported Xinhua. The 49 suspects are aged between 21 and 46, of whom 35 are Singaporeans, according to a statement by CNB.

Direct flights to Singapore prioritized

China and Singapore have agreed to accelerate full resumption of direct flights between the two countries and promote closer trade cooperation, people-to-people exchanges and tourism. The pledges were made during Foreign Minister Wang Yi's two-day visit to Singapore, which wrapped up on Friday.
